September 2009 Ministry Update
Dear Family,
Friends and Website Visitors,
Picture if you will, an amusement park with a variety of rides and
attractions. Now picture an individual perusing the area, being
challenged by its obstacles and rewarded with its accomplishments.
That's the kind of craziness I've been experiencing this month.
It's rather ironic that the economy is wreaking havoc with the ministry
it was intended to help. I'm finding that I have to exhaust different
avenues and resources to attain my goals. But in the midst of all this
came just the spark I needed.
I received a phone call from a student who helped work on My Ministry a
few years ago. Both she and a fellow student [who also helped out with
My Ministry] are High School Juniors now. They have an assignment for
one of their classes to do a study of an "Everyday Hero in our
Community". They chose me as their subject and to say I was truly
honored is beyond words. I'm not sure of all the details yet except that
the project continues through the school year and culminates in April
with a power point presentation.
I would like to give you a little information about these quality
individuals. Years ago, they worked along with their Junior High
advisors coordinating a fund drive to collect items for My Ministry.
They have continued to be affiliated with National Honor Society and
Student Council through out their High School Years. Kudos to all they
do to make a difference.
In closing, I guess I just have to say that with all the struggles this
month, that phone call helped put everything back in perspective.
I hope you will check out future newsletters on how My Ministry and this
school project are progressing.
Thy Will Be Done.
Blessings To All,
Lauren
