September 2006 Ministry Update
Dear Family, Friends and Website
Visitors,
Believe it or not, it is crunch
time. I know that it is a couple of months before my Thanksgiving Day
Helping those in Need, but wanting to fill 200-250 bags will take some time.
As I am going through all the
donations you have so generously made available to me, I have come to this
realization. If there are any bodies in Glendale that aren't clean, it
wouldn't be for our lack of trying.
I will still accept any and all
items you have hanging around the house, but , there are some in particular
that I have run short of. Those items would be:
and bags to put everything in.
Who knew that this would become
so big. They are expecting between 200 and 300 people at the soup kitchen
on Thanksgiving day. With all your help, I will be able to make sure that
every man woman and child will receive a bag.
As always, I will continue to
make my hats, network for donations and shop for bargains because it can all
be applied to next year if need be.
I will be taking pictures of
this process of setting things up and on Thanksgiving day. I'm hoping that
the newspaper will be there again to cover the event and get the word out on
how many people are in need of help. I'll post all information on my
website.
Thanks again for your caring and
efforts and remember,
WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT
WE GET,
WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT
WE GIVE.
