October 2006 Ministry Update

Dear
Family, Friends and Website Visitors.
Well, It certainly has
been a busy month. As you can see from the pictures, I've gotten a good
jump start on getting my bags filled.
Hats, Hats and more
Hats. As of the beginning of Sept. I had 362 hats [and counting.] I know
it is a little hard to see the contents of the bag with the boxing bulldog,
but it is sure to make one little boy very happy. Last but not least, the
messy room, I mean the creative workshop. Believe me when I tell you that
it has gotten gobs more creative since this picture was taken.
More good news. I was
approached by 2 individuals who want to do a donation drive for my Ministry.
One is a relative that
has her girls scout troop looking for ways to reach out and help others.
The other is a school I
used to work at. Their National Junior Honor Society wants to do a school
wide drive. Every year they work on a cause to help others and this year
they chose mine.
My Church is also
ordering 300 more Books of John. They have been so generous helping me keep
up with the growth of My Ministry.
Another thank you to a
local business establishment for donations of yarn. And to all the other
items that have drizzled in, I am truly appreciative.
If you notice, I try to
keep the names of donors, organizations and establishments anonymous [as
much as possible] because most people feel it is a private and personal
act. If however you would like to see your name or group in print, then
please let me know. I would be more than happy to share accolades of the
appropriate parties.
I’m in need of a few
more items for my bags before the holidays:
Travel Deodorant
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Healthy Snacks
I hope I haven't
forgotten anyone or anything. And if so, the Lord will remember.
One last thing. One of
my sister's is affiliated with the Make a Wish Program in another state.
They might want to use my hats for their patients. I told them I would be
happy to send them as many as they need. [Oh fingers, stay nimble]'
In closing, remember
that............
GOD GIVES US ALL WE
NEED, SO THAT WE CAN GIVE TO THOSE IN NEED.
Blessings to all,
Lauren
