August 2006 Ministry Update
Dear Family, Friends and
Website Visitors,
As I am writing this, I am
reflecting on a luncheon date I just had with some old friends. Naturally you
touch base like this from time to time to keep and strengthen bonds. This visit
also had a dual purpose. They had been collecting and putting things aside for
my ministry for the past few months. So after our lunch, they loaded up my car
with all their treasures to be shared with those less fortunate. I'll close
with my final thought about this.
Wal Mart also helped me out by
donating more yarn. I have lost track on how many hats I have made. I'm sure
its over 300 by now.
As for other items, I have just
been relying on what I can find bargains on, drips and drabs that are donated
and getting the word out about My Ministry.
All in all, there are just a
few months left before this dream becomes a reality once again. Thanks to all of
you, it will be on a bigger scale this year.
I'll do my best to get as many
bags filled as possible, but make no mistake, whatever doesn't go out this year
will be used to give me a jump start for next year.
The main things I may run short
on this year are, gift bags and healthy snack items. Other than that, I have a
wide variety of essentials.
In closing, thanks once again
for all your help and support and remember:
MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND KEEP THE
OLD, ONE IS SILVER AND THE OTHER GOLD.
Blessings to all,
Lauren
